The subject matter of this blog was not designed to convert people to Christianity, as there are numerous other online facilities and establishments performing that function quite adequately. As
stated here, one of the main aims of this blog is to strengthen the average Christian’s belief in our Almighty God and Father, and also the belief in God’s only Begotten Son whom millions of Christians worldwide recognize by name as ‘Jesus Christ’. The onslaught on Christianity has become so intense lately, that daily inspiration and guidance is almost not enough!

Many opponents of Christianity thrive on exposing the so-called flaws and blemishes of the Christian faith, but when you invite these people to sit down and debate the issues, they present the most absurd bogus evidence imaginable to ‘prove’ their point. The targets of their ferocious attacks are normally on ‘new’ or ‘undeveloped’ Christians who are not yet fully equipped to deal with this.

This week I once again got embroiled in a conversation with an atheist, who refused to take the debate any further until I had seen the movie Zeitgeist. When I told the man that I had already seen the first part of the movie, and that I found it to be a very clever propaganda documentary based on half-truths, sensational news, and outright lies, he said: “Well then there’s no point in continuing our conversation!” I whole heartedly agreed, and thanked the man for being so sincere and for not wasting my time, - or his.

So what is this Zeitgeist movie all about?

The Zeitgeist series of documentary movies is loved by millions of conspiracy theorists (and atheists) worldwide, because it documents so-called ‘facts’ they have always believed to be true. The movie challenges controversial issues such as, among others, the September 11 attacks in the USA, and the involvement of so-called "international bankers" who designed the world’s horrific wars purely for economic gain -- (which I also believe to be true).

The underlying but central theme of the first series, is that Christianity, along with all other theistic belief systems, is FRAUDULENT. For the uneducated - undeveloped Christian the evidence presented appears convincing, and the sad fact of the matter is that 1000’s of Christians have already fallen for this deception, and a couple of a million or more will also fall into the same trap, if they’re not careful.

The first part of the movie has apparently been viewed more than 50 million times on Google Video, and more than 100 million times in other formats. Zeitgeist: Addendum premiered at the 5th Annual Artivist Film Festival in Los Angeles, California on 2 October 2008, winning their highest award. It was released free online on 4 October 2008. A third film called Zeitgeist: Moving Forward is scheduled to be released soon this year (2010).

In brief, and in my opinion - the movie can be described as satan’s visual presentation to the world of his-story, in other words – satan’s evil activities on planet earth. Although seemingly compassionate and thoughtful ideas and solutions are presented, the central theme is nothing more than a satirical and satanic attack on Jesus Christ himself, the man who ironically forewarned us about this evil deceit more than 2000 years ago when he said:

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
(John 8:44 KJV)

Now I am NOT saying that the man, Peter Joseph - who made Zeitgeist, is from the devil! Although I don’t know the man personally, it is rather obvious that he, like so many other men in this world, either had the irresistible urge to make a big name for himself, or was just plain passionate about getting his message across. Whatever the case, it appears that he has achieved both these goals.

Acharya S – (aka D.M. Murdock)

The writings of a lady by the name of D.M. Murdock, who uses the penname Acharya S, was used extensively in the movie Zeitgeist. She also acted as consultant for the movie.

In 1999, Murdock published her first book, The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold, arguing the concept of Jesus Christ as myth. She claims that the story of Jesus Christ is a retelling of various pagan myths, representing "astrotheology" or the story of the Sun, and also incorporates the science of archaeoastronomy.

Since then she has authored five more books, all expanding on her theory that Christ never existed on earth as a real live character, and that Christianity is a bogus religion.

The anti-Christian theme in the Zeitgeist movie is based on Murdock’s erroneous beliefs that Christianity is founded on earlier ancient myths and that the characters depicted in Christianity are based upon Roman, Greek, Egyptian, and other myths. Murdock also makes the wild and unsubstantiated claim that the gospels (New Testament) are all priestly forgeries.

The fact of the matter is this: When you are empowered with the knowledge of the Holy Bible, and have some background history of world affairs, politics, subjects like Egyptology, and ancient biblical history, you will come to realize that it was in fact satan’s clever son Cain (the chap whom God banished to the East and who later settled in the biblical place known back then as The land of Shinar) who instigated all the sick corruptions and ‘inventions’ of the earliest false gods and their names.

(An earlier posting on this blog explores the possibility that King Sargon of Babylon may have been the Cain of Genesis. Click here to view the posting.)

The immoral trend established by Cain and his many followers continued to spread in all directions into heathen lands, and later found its way into the affluent rooms and dark corridors of the mighty Catholic Church in Rome, from where it spread like a contagious disease across the planet. Today it is a common fact, among academics in many diverse fields – including biblical scholars, that Roman mythology owed its origin through the Greeks to Babylonia. It is no wonder that verse 5 in chapter 17 of the Book of Revelation uses CAPITAL LETTERS when it speaks of Babylon:

(Revelation 17:5 KJV)

The amount of literature on this subject is extensive, and although it is a tiring task to sift through the heaps of ‘real’ and ‘unreal’ material on this issue, it is unfortunately the price one has to pay if you want to understand why people like Murdock, Peter Joseph, David Icke, and many others like them, are living in a fantasy world of misinformation.

When you are equipped with this knowledge you will also see why their so-called ‘compelling evidence’ is not so persuasive at all, --- which is possibly the reason why academic coverage of the Zeitgeist movie has also been sparse.

For those who are interested in reading up on historical evidence proving that Jesus Christ was in fact a real live figure on this earth, I highly recommend you surf over to an article on the Apologetics Press. (Sorry, but I don’t see the point in repeating text that has already been published elsewhere).

Criticism levelled at the Zeitgeist movie is sufficiently (but not entirely) addressed in the Wikipedia article related to this movie, hence the reason why I will not provide in-depth condemnation of the Zeitgeist nonsense here. However, I do feel the need to address the shambles caused by the widespread assumption that there are similarities between the ‘Sun’ of God and the ‘son’ of God, --- because Murdock (aka. Acharya S) and the movie Zeitgeist places much emphasis on this issue.

The Catholic Church in Rome played a crucial role in integrating many satanic pagan practices such as sun worship into Christianity. There’s no doubt this is the main reason why there are so many mix-ups and confusion in modern-day churches, and also why Christianity can so easily (and wrongly) be connected with sun worship. The fact that many Christian churches today gather on a SUNday, and that many Christians worldwide still celebrate Easter and Christmas, only serves to confirm the FALSE NOTION that Christians are in fact sun worshipers in disguise. It is all a load of nonsense, for no matter what day Christians gather for worship, your opponents and sceptics will always find a reason to intimidate and accuse you. If a group of Christians happen to worship regularly on a Saturday they will soon be labelled as ‘Saturn worshipers’; on a Monday they will be known as ‘Moon worshipers’ – and so forth.

“Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”
Colossians 2:16-17 KJV)

My Oh my, -- how do we explain all this to the uneducated, uninformed, liberal-minded sceptic in simple concise terms? Whatever arguments you present, no matter how well-researched or substantiated by other experts in the field, your opponent(s) will always shoot you down with one or two missile-words, implicating fraud or a conspiracy. Yet, -- is it not strange how these vipers use well-known world conspiracies such as the 9/11 attacks to attract the attention of millions?

Antagonists like Acharya S for example are fond of making claims that ancient texts were corrupted by Christians for some or other ulterior motive (as if she was present during those times), yet they have failed to detect that those so-called Christians were not Christians in the true sense of the word, but were indeed the same brood of vipers which the ‘Word of God’ described as being from the synagogue of satan – (Revelation 2:9 and 3:9).

It is a truly frustrating task to attempt any form of counterargument when dealing with these opponents, because they just thrive on long complex answers to their controversial questions and arguments, - which they don’t bother to read anyway! In fact, the longer your response to their various claims and opinions, the more ammunition they have to scorn, accuse, and attack you!

Nevertheless, certain statements made by these people, and the so-called ‘evidence’ they submit to confirm their viewpoints that Christianity is basically a form of ‘sun worship’ are creating confusion on a mass scale, and are damaging to the Christian faith. It needs to be addressed without hesitation but also tactfully. I have therefore decided not to present my arguments in this specific posting, as it will make the posting too long, -- and hence distract most viewers from reading and absorbing the entire content.

My next posting will deal with the issue why the zodiac number 12 is so prominent in biblical text, and also why Jesus Christ is NOT a personification of the SUN as propagated by, among others, the movie Zeitgeist.

Stay tuned!

In the meantime you may wish to explore what other people are saying about the Zeitgeist deception:
